The certainty of climate change, and the attendant need for both mitigation and adaptation, has led most forward-looking companies to begin actively managing their carbon footprint, in some cases aiming to “neutralize” their footprint altogether.1 Our research suggests that reducing and neutralizing one’s carbon footprint will soon evolve from “best practice” to industry standard.
