These activities cover all the steps for building a model hydrogen-powered car for competition in the Hydrogen Sprint. The six activities may be used by a class or a team to explore the design challenges in building a hydrogen fuel cell-powered model car. The hands-on activities cover various topics including material strength, torque vs. speed, fuel cell power output, friction, and aerodynamics. At the end of each section design questions are posed to encourage the students to think of various alternatives in the design of their vehicles.
