Pottsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK)

Founded in 1992, PIK researchers in the natural and social sciences study global change and its impacts on ecological, economic and social systems. Through interdisciplinary research, undertaken by five departments (Integrated Systems Analysis, Climate Systems, Natural Systems, and Social Systems and Data and Computation), PIK provides data and information to aid the decision-making process, as it relates to the creation of sustainable and just social policies.
