Through its emphasis on developing and extending sustainable farming practices, the Southern SAWG works to create a new food and fiber system in the South — one that provides safe and nutritious food for everyone, healthy ecosystems, vibrant rural communities and viable family farms. Members include organizations and individuals in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
